Basement Concrete Floor Polishing Project

This basement was stuck in the 70s with old tile still intact. Underneath, the floor was covered in dark glue from the tile removal, which we tackled with heavy grinding.



The process wasn’t easy—there were about 100 holes to patch, and the floor itself was fairly soft. The customer wanted the aggregate to show through, so we ground deeply to expose as much as possible. From there, we polished the floor up to a smooth 1500-grit finish.

The result? A modern, polished concrete floor that highlights the natural aggregate and completely transforms the space. At Blastek, we’re all about making every floor shine.
